Fall is one of the best times of the year here in Central Florida. The weather finally starts to cool down (at least a little!), and there’s no shortage of things to do with family and friends. Whether you’re looking for live music, local food, or a good scare, here are some can’t-miss events happening this season around the Orlando area.

A Petrified Forest – Altamonte Springs

📅 October 3 – November 1, 2025

📍 1360 E Altamonte Dr, Altamonte Springs

If you love haunted trails and Halloween thrills, this one’s for you. A Petrified Forest is back with its 2025 theme, “The Landlord Has Arrived.” You’ll find three unique haunted trails, live scare zones, and immersive experiences that bring you right into the action.

Special nights include Kids’ Day (Oct 11), Special Needs Night (Oct 15), and Total Eclipse Nights (Oct 22 & 29) — where you walk the trails in almost complete darkness. If you’re looking for something spooky to kick off your fall season, this is the spot.

📍 Edgewater Drive, College Park

This is one of Orlando’s signature community events — three stages of live music featuring jazz, R&B, soul, and more. Grab some food from local vendors, bring your own chair, and enjoy a night under the stars surrounded by great music and even better company.

It’s a perfect way to support local artists and get a true feel for the College Park community vibe.
