As we head into fall, I always find myself thinking about how quickly the year flies by. Starting in October, our family calendar kicks into overdrive — my niece’s birthday, my daughter’s birthday on October 30th (right before Halloween!), another family birthday in November, then Thanksgiving… and before we can catch our breath, it’s December with two more birthdays and Christmas.

By the time January rolls around, we’re celebrating New Year’s and my wife’s birthday, and then February comes with mine. It’s a whirlwind — full of joy, family, and a lot of cake. 🍰

But even with all the chaos, this time of year always reminds me how much there is to be thankful for. It’s easy to get caught up in the planning, shopping, and nonstop schedule, but the older I get, the more I realize that these are the moments that matter — the ones spent laughing, celebrating, and just being together.

I think gratitude isn’t just about the big milestones. It’s about the in-between moments — like watching my daughter’s excitement before her birthday, the conversations around the Thanksgiving table, or just taking a quiet minute in the middle of the holiday rush to appreciate the people in my life.

So as we step into this busy season, I’m reminding myself (and hopefully you too) to slow down and enjoy it. Take the photos, eat the dessert, and be present — because these are the memories that last.

👉 What’s something you’re feeling grateful for as we head into the final stretch of the year?
