The past few weeks have been heavy. Between tragic events in our communities and, on a personal note, the sudden passing of my cousin, I’ve been reminded just how fragile life really is.
It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day grind—work, bills, routines, the constant push to do more and be more. But moments like these force us to slow down and remember what really matters: the people we love and the time we share with them.
When we see headlines about violence, division, or loss, it’s natural to feel overwhelmed. But maybe the best way to respond is with more love and more support—for our families, our neighbors, and our communities.
If you have kids, give them a hug today. If you’ve been meaning to call a friend or reach out to a family member, don’t wait. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, and the simplest gestures can mean the world.
Life is too short to take each other for granted. Let’s hold on to the people who matter most, choose kindness over division, and remember that love is the one thing we can never give too much of.
